Motorcycle/Scooter Insurance (2 wheeler)

It covers a financial loss that can arise virtually on a daily basis. Policies can be issued on a Comprehensive or Third-party basis.

We issued the first policy on 1st December 1993.

What’s covered ?

Comprehensive covers:

Our standard Motorcycle Insurance covers damage to your motorcycle due to:

  • Fire and Lightening/self-ignition
  • External Accident
  • Theft or Burglary
  • Natural Calamities
  • Riot Strikes, Malicious Acts & Terrorism(optional coverage)
  • Third-party coverage
  • Personal Accident to rider and pillion rider

Third-party only covers:

  • Your legal liability for
    • Death or bodily injury to Third-party
    • Damage to property of Third-party
  • Personal Accident to rider and pillion rider

What’s required to get insured?

  • Duly completed proposal Form
  • KYC form to be duly completed
  • Tax invoice /Bill copy of purchased vehicle
  • Copy of Blue Book

What’s required for claim?

In case of Comprehensive coverage:

For Own Damage Claim

  • Claim Intimation(by letter or email)
  • Estimate/Quotation from the authorized dealer/repairer.
  • Copy of Driving Licence & updated Vehicle Registration Book (Blue Book).
  • Original Report from the concerned Police authority.
  • Original VAT Bills/Cash Memos towards repair/replacement.
  • Duly Completed Claim Form

In case of Third Party coverage/Rider and Pillion Rider:

  • Third-Party Vehicle/Motorcycle
    • Estimate/Quotation from the authorized dealer/repairer.
    • Copy of Driving Licence, Motorcycle Registration Book (Blue Book)
    • Police Report.
    • Original VAT Bills / Cash Memos towards repair/replacement.
    • Third Party’s Vehicle/Motorcycle Policy copy.
    • Agreement (Milapatra) in original done in presence of the concerned legal authority.
    • Duly Completed Claim Form.

  • Injury
    • Police Report.
    • Emergency Card issued by the treating Hospital/ Nursing home
    • Attending Doctor’s/Hospital’s prescriptions/Nurse’s Daily Record/ Doctor’s prescription including chit issued by the Nurse on duty.
    • Discharge Summary in the original.
    • Original bills incurred for medical expenses.
    • Agreement (Milapatra) in original done in presence of the concerned legal authority.
    • Duly Completed Claim Form.

  • Death
    • Duly Completed Claim Form
    • Letter from District Administration office and any other relevant document.
    • Ghatna Sthal Muchulka.
    • Compensation Receipt (As applicable).
    • Death Certificates
    • Autopsy Report
    • Citizenships
    • Post Mortem Report
    • Certificate of relationship
